Talk to me about a

REAL ESTATE SALES CAREER

If you have ever thought about selling real estate for a living you should take a close look at my United Country office in Walterboro. Here are answers to the two questions I am frequently asked.
  1. Based upon over a 30 year career in sales, why do you enjoy selling real estate so much?

    A. I'm essentially my own boss. I control my time, who I work with and the markets (types of property) I work in. As the independent person that I am, I like being in control of my own destiny.

    B. I'm paid equitably. Handsome commissions are paid when I produce a sale.  There is no limit to what I can earn, no one sets a salary for me and I can work anywhere in the state (under certain circumstances, anywhere in the USA). I don't have to wait for the boss to die to get promoted. I control my earnings.

    C. I can become an educated professional in my field at the highest level. And the money I risk is only the cost of my education and licensing, professional realtor's dues, errors and omissions insurance, and daily office and travel expenses. I borrow no money from a bank, I have no employees, purchase no inventory, and my  business can't burn down.

    D. I am given equity in other people's property without investing anything, having to pay taxes or insurance, or to maintain and repair the property. For instance, if I list a $1 million property for sale for an 8% commission, my company and I share an $80,000 interest in that property while we have it listed. Think of that commission as equity. Equity is the cash (profit) the owner puts into his pocket when he sells. The commission is the cash the salesperson puts in his pocket. The sales equity (commission) is typically less than the owners interest, but it is not accompanied by all the risk, obligations, and responsibilities that come with ownership. Why pay a small fortune to buy property when you can accumulate equity by listing property for sale? While your limited cash reserves will allow you to buy only a few properties, there is no limit to the amount of property you can list!

    E. For almost 20 years, I sold insurance (mostly life). The real estate sales process is a comparative breeze. Buyers want what I have to sell and seek me out. I don't have to cleverly talk someone into buying. Either the buyer wants the property I show him or he doesn't. It is as simple as that.

  2. Why did you decide to associate with United Country?

Because they provide my agents with the best sales support of any company I know in this business. They give my clients the best marketing plan in this business. This web site is just one example. The United Country staff is dedicated to the success of our office. (If I do not sell, they don't get paid either). They are like the people in my   neighborhood and the people I go to church with. Since they only get paid when I or my sales associates make a sale, they have a strong motivation to help us succeed.

Just give me a call, I will try to answer any other questions you may have. I will be delighted to meet with you and describe the fabulous sales support/marketing system that could be at your disposal.
